With the growing importance of customer interaction, businesses are increasingly leveraging chatbots to enhance communication. Integrating these chatbots with popular platforms allows for seamless interaction with customers, fostering better relationships and increased satisfaction.
1. Connecting To WhatsApp
Integrating WhatsApp with Rubikchat allows your custom chatbot to interact directly with customers through WhatsApp, making it easier to address inquiries and automate responses. Follow these steps to connect your chatbot to a WhatsApp number for effective customer engagement.
1.1 Before You Start
- The WhatsApp phone number used with the chatbot can only be dedicated to the chatbot and cannot be used on the regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app.
- If this phone number is currently linked to a WhatsApp account, you must delete that account first
1.2 To Delete A WhatsApp Account
- 1. Open the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app
- 2. Go to Settings > Account.
- 3. Select Delete my account. This might take a few minutes. After this, the number will be available for use
- Important: If you have used WhatsApp through Meta Developer for business previously, turn off the two-step verification.
1.3 To Disable Two Step Verification
- 1. Go to your WhatsApp Business Account and log in
- 2. Select the phone number you wish to integrate.
- 3. Navigate to Settings > Two-step verification and select Turn off two-step verification..
- Make sure to have an approved display name before integrating your chatbot.
1.4 Step By Step Instructions
- Access the Chatbot you want to integrate with WhatsApp.
1.5 Navigate To Integrations
- Click on "View Playground".
- Click on the Integrations tab.
1.6 Connect To WhatsApp
- Click Connect on the WhatsApp integration card.
1.7 Log In
- Log in with your personal Facebook Account.
1.8 Get Started
- Click Get Started.
1.9 Business Profile
- Choose or create a business profile.
1.10 Create Or Select Profile
- Create a WhatsApp business profile or select an existing one.
1.11 Fill In Business Information
- Fill in the necessary information for the Business profile:
- Business name
- Website or profile page
- Country
- Optional address
1.12 Add Phone Number
- Add a phone number (recommended: associate only one number)
- Click Continue.
1.13 Verification Process
- Wait a few seconds for verification of the entered information
1.14 Finish Integration
- Click on Finish.
1.15 Final Check
- Test your WhatsApp integration by sending a message to your linked WhatsApp number.

3. Connecting With Messenger
Integrating Messenger with RubikChat allows your custom chatbot to communicate directly with customers via your Facebook pages. It also enables you to take over the conversation whenever necessary, creating an effective way to handle inquiries and automate responses while maintaining direct communication with your customers. This guide will inform you of the steps needed to connect your chatbot to Messenger, ensuring smooth and effective interactions.
3.1 Navigate To Dashboard
- Log in to your RubikChat account and select a chatbot from your dashboard.
3.2 Access Integrations
- Select Integrations.
3.3 Initiate Connection
- Click Connect if it's your first time using the integration. If you've connected earlier, click Manage.
3.4 Grant Permissions
- If it's your first connection, you'll be prompted to allow RubikChat to use your information.
- Note: If modifying connected pages, select Edit Previous Settings.
3.5 Select Facebook Pages
- Choose the pages you want to integrate:
- Opt for Current Pages Only to integrate selected pages.
- Opt for All Current Pages to integrate all pages on your account.
3.6 Review Permissions
- Review the permissions and click Save.
3.7 Complete Integration
- Click on Done and wait a few seconds for the integration to connect.
3.8 Manage Pages
- Once connected, manage your pages through the Messenger dashboard. You can add new pages by clicking the Connect a new Facebook Page button or remove existing ones using the three dots next to the page name.
4. Setting Up Instagram
Integrating Instagram with RubikChat allows your custom chatbot to communicate seamlessly with customers on your Instagram pages. This integration facilitates real-time conversations and allows you to manage interactions efficiently. Follow this guide to connect your chatbot to Instagram for effective customer engagement.
4.1 Prerequisites
- You will need the following:
- An Instagram Professional Account.
- A Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account.
4.2 Adjust Instagram Settings
- Navigate to the Instagram page settings for your Professional Account.
- Under ‘How others can interact with you’, click on:
- Messages and story replies
- Message controls
- Allow Access to Messages
4.3 Access RubikChat Account
- Log in to your RubikChat Account.
- Click on “View Playground” for the chatbot you wish to connect to
4.4 Navigate To Integrations
- Select Integrations.
4.5 Begin Integration Process
- Click on Connect.
- Click on Continue.
4.6 Log In To Instagram
- Click Get Started to log in to your Instagram account.
- Enter your Instagram login credentials.
4.7 Choose Businesses
- Choose the businesses affiliated with your Instagram page:
- If no businesses are linked, select Opt in all current and future businesses.
4.8 Select Facebook Pages
- Choose the Facebook Page(s) linked to your Instagram account.
4.9 Select Instagram Pages
- Select the Instagram page(s) you want to integrate.
4.10 Save Your Changes
- Click Save to confirm your selections.
4.11 Verify Integration
- Check for successful integration by navigating to Manage.
- Here, you can add more pages or delete existing ones if necessary.
