In todays digital landscape, chatbots are pivotal in providing efficient customer service and engagement. Training your chatbot with high-quality data is crucial for its performance. This article outlines the steps to effectively input knowledge sources into your chatbot platform, ensuring optimal user interaction and satisfaction.

1. Access The Knowledge Section

  • Navigate to the Chatbots Tab and click on “View Playground”.
  • Click on the "Knowledge" option in the sidebar.

2. Input Text Data

  • In the provided text field, enter relevant training data. This may include FAQs, greetings, or specific phrases your users commonly use.
  • Ensure the data is clear and prescriptive for better understanding by the chatbot.

3. Upload Supporting Files

  • Utilize the “Upload Files” button to include documents that can offer further information.
  • Ensure the files are relevant and formatted correctly to avoid errors during the upload process.
  • If applicable, add relevant website links that the chatbot can reference.
  • Click on the “Website Link” button and enter the URL to include helpful content.

5. Include Q&A Pairs

  • For a more interactive experience, click on “Upload Q&A” to add question-and-answer pairs.
  • This helps the chatbot to effectively address user inquiries.

6. Monitor Character Limit

  • Keep an eye on the total character count displayed.
  • Monitor the detected characters count to ensure your data stays within the allowable limit.

7. Retrain Your Chatbot

  • After entering all necessary data, don’t forget to click the “Retrain Chatbot” button.
  • This process updates the chatbot's knowledge base with the new training data.

8. Test Your Chatbot

  • Once retraining is complete, conduct tests to ensure the chatbot responds accurately to user queries.
  • Adjust and refine the training data as needed based on user interactions and feedback.
